Job summary

Talent Evolution is seeking an Internal / Key Accounts Broker – Short-Term Insurance in Durban to manage an existing client portfolio through underwriting, client service and administrative support. This is an office-based role with no field visits.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years underwriting experience, in both personal and commercial lines, plus RE5, Matric and strong communication/administrative skills. Manage approximately 300 accounts with proactive client engagement.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• RE5 certification compulsory.
• NQF Level 4 qualification in Financial Services would be advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years underwriting experience.
• Experience in both personal and commercial lines underwriting.
• Strong interpersonal, administrative and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of approximately 300 clients.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients to understand their insurance needs.
• Deliver high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and follow up on unpaid premiums.
• Liaise with clients and insurers to resolve outstanding payment issues.
• Proactively manage policy renewals and ensure policies are reviewed, updated and renewed timeously.
• Prepare and present renewal terms and alternative options.
• Conduct risk assessments and portfolio reviews.
• Process policy endorsements and amendments.
• Maintain compliance with applicable legislative and regulatory requirements.
