Placements24 in Pretoria seeks a visionary Head of Professional Development & Training to lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of growth initiatives for the organization. You will work with department heads and HR to identify skill gaps and align programs with strategic goals.

This senior role requires at least 8 years in development/training with leadership experience, and a strong background in instructional design and ROI measurement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in HR, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
• 8+ years in professional development/training with at least 3 in a leadership role.
• Proven track record designing and implementing large-scale training programs.
• Strong grasp of adult learning principles, instructional design, and evaluation techniques.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning and project management, with stakeholder influence.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute a strategic vision for professional development and training programs aligned with organizational objectives.
• Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of all training initiatives, including leadership development, technical skills training, and soft skills enhancement.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify current and future training needs and skill gaps.
• Manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and ROI.
• Lead and mentor a team of training specialists and facilitators, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Develop evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of training programs and their impact on performance and goals.
• Stay abreast of trends in adult learning, instructional design, and corporate training.
• Curate and develop a library of training resources, including online courses and workshops.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
• Manage relationships with external training providers and vendors.
