Job summary

Bosha Placements is seeking a detail-oriented Business Development Officer to drive market research, build strong client relationships, and implement strategic plans in the North West mining sector.

The role requires leadership, negotiation, and CRM proficiency, with extensive travel to client sites. A background in electrical/instrumentation environments and mining operations is preferred, along with strong analytical and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Education: A National Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
• 3–5 years working as Foreman in a mining processing Plant.
• 3–5 years of external sales and/or Business Development Officer experience in an E&I construction, projects, and maintenance services to the mining, industrial, and infrastructure/commercial sectors in SA.
• Strong familiarity with electrical systems (LV/MV switchgear, transformers, automation hardware) and process instrumentation (SCADA, sensors, control panels).

Responsibilities

• Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research to identify emerging business opportunities, analyse competitor strategies, and evaluate market trends to inform business decisions.
• Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, and partners, ensuring long-term engagement and satisfaction.
• Business Strategy Development: Create and implement actionable business plans, including marketing strategies, sales proposals, and presentations. Monitor market pricing and competitor activity.
