Job summary

Clicks Group Limited in Cape Town is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee POS and store floor activities. You will direct all POS operations, manage stock and cash handling, and drive housekeeping to ensure a smooth customer experience.

You will train and motivate shop assistants and cashiers, schedule staff per policy, resolve customer queries, promote Clicks clubcard promotions and uphold brand standards with up-to-date product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Maths and English at 50% or higher.
• Retail/FMCG background and understanding of merchandising and promotions.
• Knowledge of stock, cost, risk and compliance management procedures.
• Knowledge of labour legislation and IR practices.
• Competency based interviewing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control all operational activities at the point of sale.
• Manage stock and cash, minimising shrinkage and maintaining housekeeping.
• Train, motivate and direct shop assistants / cashiers to deliver service excellence.
• Ensure staffing aligned with work schedule, policies and labour legislation.
• Resolve customer queries in line with company policies.
• Promote Clicks clubcard to achieve participation targets.
• Enforce security measures, cash controls, returns policies to minimise losses.
• Deliver superior customer service as a brand ambassador.
• Support the group's vision to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.
• Maintain updated knowledge on products, ranges, promotions and events.
