Job summary

Clicks Group in South Africa seeks an experienced store operations leader to manage POS activities, stock control and cashier teams. You will drive service excellence, security, and compliance while promoting Clicks clubcard participation and brand standards.

You will oversee staffing, training, and administrative tasks, ensuring a safe, efficient and customer-focused store environment in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Understanding and application of financial management principles
• Retail/FMCG background and understanding of merchandising and promotions principles
• Knowledge of stock, cost, risk and compliance management procedures
• Knowledge of customer service excellence
• Knowledge of labour legislation and IR practices
• Knowledge of competency based interviewing

Responsibilities

• Direct and control all POS operational activities.
• Manage stock and cash to minimise shrinkage.
• Train and motivate shop assistants and cashiers.
• Ensure staffing aligns with schedules and policies.
• Resolve customer queries per company policies.
• Promote Clicks clubcard to meet targets.
• Maintain stock security and administrative duties.
• Deliver friendly, professional service as brand ambassador.
• Support the company’s vision to be the first choice health and beauty retailer.
• Maintain knowledge on products, promotions and events.
