Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager for Steilloop to drive store strategy and execution. You will support the Store Manager in planning, operations, and people management to grow market share and deliver excellent customer service.

You will oversee stock, cash handling, safety compliance and HR processes while ensuring efficient store performance and strong leadership within the team.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 2 years retail management experience
• Valid driver's license
• Valid ID or valid work permit (local)
• Must have strong accounting skills
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be computer literate (Basic computer literacy)
• Must have strong leadership skills
• Must have strong administrative skills
• Must have sound knowledge of Health and Safety aspects in line with local (OHSA) and/or neighbouring Countries legislation
• Must have strong Human Resources skills

Responsibilities

• Strategic Management: Assist the Store Manager to develop, implement and manage a Store Business Plan aligned with Company strategy
• Grow and Protect Market Share: assist to achieve growth in market share and sales budgets by category
• Customer Service: assist to implement, monitor and improve the Customer Service strategy and audits
• Asset Control: Stock - assist to manage shrinkage, PIC process, stock takes, stock movement, and security measures
• Asset Control: Cash - assist to manage Debtors, petty cash, daily banking, shorts/overs, cheques and credit cards
• Asset Control: Fixed Assets - assist to maintain racking, signage, forklift, IT equipment and safe
• Human Resource Management - assist to recruit, induct, train, succession planning and manning levels
• Store Safety (OHSA) Standards - assist to ensure safety compliance and incident recording
• Store Trading Standards - assist to maintain housekeeping, merchandising, planograms, yard and parking
• Profitability - assist to achieve operating income budgets and financial model benchmarks
• CB Way - assist to implement controls, action plans and audits
