Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager (Internal Applications Only) to protect and grow market share while implementing store strategies in line with company objectives. You will support the Store Manager in planning, customer service, stock control, and HR activities while ensuring OHSA compliance.

The role requires Grade 12, at least two years retail management experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong leadership and administrative skills.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 2 years retail management experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Valid ID or valid work permit.
• Strong accounting skills are preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strong leadership and administrative capabilities.
• Own transport and a cell phone are advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of OHSA and related local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager to develop, implement and manage a Store Business Plan aligned with company strategy.
• Grow and protect market share by achieving sales budgets and driving category growth.
• Support Customer Service strategy, audits above 95%, and reliable delivery service.
• Assist with stock control, shrinkage reduction, PIC process, and stock takes.
• Assist with cash handling, petty cash, daily banking, and cheque/Card management.
• Support Human Resources activities including recruitment, training and succession planning.
• Enforce OHSA safety standards and maintain compliance with safety checks.
• Maintain merchandising standards, planograms, and store cleanliness.
• Lead with integrity, accuracy, and client-focused service.
