Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager at Ontdekkers to drive store performance in line with company strategy. You will support the Store Manager in planning, sales growth, customer loyalty, and merchandise presentation.

The role requires Grade 12, 2+ years retail management, a valid license, strong accounting, and leadership abilities. You must be computer-literate, self-mufficient and mobile with transport and a cellphone.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 2 years retail management experience.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Valid ID or valid work permit (local).
• Must have strong accounting skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Must be computer literate (Basic computer literacy).
• Must have strong leadership skills.
• Must have strong administrative skills.
• Must have own transport and cell phone.
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety aspects in line with local OHSA and/or neighbouring Countries legislation.
• Must have strong Human Resources skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager to develop, implement and manage a Store Business Plan aligned with Company strategy.
• Assist the Store Manager to achieve growth in market share and sales budgets by category.
• Assist the Store Manager to promote customer loyalty programmes and manage advertising material distribution.
• Assist the Store Manager to develop action plans to protect market share when competitors enter the market.
• Assist the Store Manager with Customer Service strategy, audits, delivery service, VIC client base, and transaction budgets.
• Assist the Store Manager to manage stock control, PIC process, stock takes, and warehouse movements.
• Assist the Store Manager to manage Debtors, petty cash, daily banking, and cash controls.
• Assist the Store Manager to maintain health, safety, and compliance per OHSA.
