Job summary

Cashbuild Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager (External Applications Only - Steilloop) to support the Store Manager in driving profitability and market share while upholding health and safety standards. The role demands Grade 12, two years of retail management experience, and strong leadership with solid administrative capabilities.

You will oversee customer service initiatives, stock integrity, cash handling, HR activities, and delivery of the company strategy at the Steilloop store.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 2 years retail management experience.
• Valid Drivers license.
• Valid ID or valid work permit (local).
• Must have strong accounting skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Must be computer literate (basic computer literacy).
• Must have strong leadership skills.
• Must have strong administrative skills.
• Must have own transport and cell phone.
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety aspects in line with local OHSA and/or neighbouring Countries legislation.
• Must have strong Human Resources skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager to develop, implement and manage a Store Business Plan aligned with Company strategy.
• Assist the Store Manager to achieve growth in market share and sales budgets by Category.
• Assist the Store Manager to promote customer loyalty programmes and distribute advertising material efficiently.
• Assist the Store Manager to ensure Customer Service strategy is implemented and customer audits are above 95%.
• Assist the Store Manager to manage stock, cash, and fixed assets and to analyze security requirements.
• Assist the Store Manager to recruit, train and develop staff and maintain open communication with the Store Employee Committee.
• Assist the Store Manager to ensure OHSA safety standards and incident recording.
• Maintain merchandising standards, planograms, housekeeping, and yard/parking areas.
• Deliver results under pressure and managerelationships with customers and colleagues.
