Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Commercial Bank Relationship Manager to build and manage a portfolio of commercial clients in Soweto and surrounding areas. The role requires regular office presence and client visits to deliver tailored banking solutions including loans, deposits, and treasury management.

You will conduct credit analysis, present loan proposals to the credit committee, and work with credit, operations and product teams to ensure seamless service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in commercial banking or related sales role.
• Proven track record of managing a client portfolio and achieving sales targets.
• Strong understanding of lending principles, credit analysis, and risk assessment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial banking clients.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial sector.
• Understand client needs and provide banking products (loans, deposits, and treasury management).
• Conduct credit analysis and risk assessment for new and existing clients.
• Prepare loan proposals and present them to the credit committee.
• Monitor client portfolios for credit quality and identify potential risks.
• Achieve and exceed assigned sales and profitability targets.
• Provide exceptional customer service and act as the primary point of contact for clients.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and economic conditions affecting commercial clients.
