Placements24 is seeking an experienced Commercial Banking Manager to lead a team in Cape Town. The role focuses on managing a portfolio of commercial clients, developing new business and ensuring top-tier banking services. You will oversee credit risk, drive revenue growth and uphold integrity and client focus.

The position supports a hybrid work model and requires strong leadership, strategic thinking and client-centric execution to succeed in a dynamic financial hub.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in commercial banking, with at least 3 years in a management/leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field; MBA advantageous.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong understanding of commercial lending, credit analysis and risk management.

Responsabilités

• Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial banking clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
• Develop and implement strategies to acquire new business clients and expand market share.
• Oversee underwriting and approval process for commercial loans and credit facilities.
• Provide expert advice and solutions to clients on a range of banking products and services.
• Mentor and lead a team of banking professionals, ensuring high performance and development.
