Placements24 is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer for a fully remote role based in South Africa, Durban area. You will lead design and analysis of water resources infrastructure, develop hydrological models, and collaborate virtually with clients and regulators to deliver projects that improve water supply, wastewater, and flood management.

The ideal candidate holds a PEng with 7+ years of experience, demonstrates expertise in HEC-RAS/EPANET/MIKE, and can manage multiple projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is preferred/required.
• 7+ years of experience in water resources engineering, including design, analysis and project management.
• Proficiency with hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (HEC-RAS, EPANET, MIKE).

Responsabilités

• Lead design and analysis of water resources infrastructure (dams, pipelines, treatment plants, flood control).
• Develop hydrological/hydraulic models to assess availability, flood risk, environmental impacts.
• Prepare technical reports, design documents and specs.
• Collaborate remotely with teams, clients and regulators to meet objectives.
• Conduct feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments for water projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee technical staff.
• Manage schedules, budgets and resources for water components.
• Stay updated on modeling tools and relevant regulations.
