Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a senior Water Resources Engineer to join a remote, environmental and water resources consultancy. The role focuses on sustainable water management, hydrology, hydraulics, and water quality modeling, delivering designs, reports, and environmental permits for diverse projects.

You will lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, manage budgets and schedules, work with geographically dispersed teams, and stay current with regulatory requirements and new software

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Water Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration with ECSA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of water resources projects including water supply, wastewater, and flood control structures.
• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses using industry-standard software.
• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for pipelines, treatment plants, dams, and canals.
• Prepare technical reports and environmental permits.
• Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery.
