Job summary

A recruitment agency in South Africa is seeking an experienced individual to manage electronic security systems. The role involves leading daily operations of access control and CCTV systems, ensuring reliability across sites, managing faults, and leading a team. Candidates should have 8 to 10 years' experience in security management and leadership skills. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and ICT systems is preferred. This position requires effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

  • 8 to 10 years’ experience in management of electronic security systems.
  • Sound knowledge of security incident management and relevant legislation.
  • Experience in information technology systems is an added advantage.

Job description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily operations of access control, CCTV, alarms, intrusion and physical electronic security systems.
  • Ensure all systems are functional, reliable and available across multiple sites.
  • Manage faults, anomalies, system failures and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain governance frameworks ensuring compliance and operational standards.
  • Oversee operational reporting, dashboards and performance metrics.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a diverse technical support team of 6.
  • Drive risk identification and mitigation strategies for all security systems.
  • Co-ordinate with ICT teams where system performance relies on networks, servers or digital platforms.Â
Qualifications & Experience:Â
  • 8 to 10 yearsâ experience in management of electronic security systems.
  • Sound knowledge of the security incident management, security management, relevant legislation and regulations, electronic security systems, computer-based systems and SANS Standards; and
  • Experience in information technology systems will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3 yearsâ experience in team leadership or supervisory roles.Â
