Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Site Engineer in Rustenburg, North West Province, to lead on-site civil infrastructure projects. You will supervise construction activities, ensure adherence to plans and quality standards, and manage schedules, resources and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in site engineering, Pr Eng/Tech Eng preferred, and strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with contractors and the design team.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering is required.
• Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng registration with ECSA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of site engineering and construction management experience.
• Experience managing large civil infrastructure projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and QC processes.
• Excellent understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Proficiency with project management software and construction drawings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to work under pressure.
• Valid driver's license for site mobility in Rustenburg

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities for civil projects.
• Ensure work follows project plans, specs and quality standards.
• Develop and implement detailed construction schedules and monitor milestones.
• Manage site resources including labor, materials and equipment.
• Conduct regular site inspections and address deviations.
• Enforce strict health and safety protocols on site.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and design team.
• Manage site documentation such as RFIs and site instructions.
• Provide project updates to clients and stakeholders.
