Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Engineer to oversee major construction projects in Midrand, Gauteng. You will lead on-site activities, coordinate multiple disciplines, manage resources, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of progressive site engineering and construction management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a solid knowledge of safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech. Eng. registration with ECSA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive site engineering and construction management experience.
• Experience managing large-scale civil or building projects.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage on-site construction activities per plans and specs.
• Develop detailed construction schedules and work plans.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance on site.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct quality control inspections to meet standards.
• Manage site resources: labor, materials, equipment.
• Review method statements, risk assessments, and work permits.
• Liaise with project manager, design engineers, and clients.
• Maintain accurate site records (daily reports, progress photos, quantity records).
