You will oversee construction teams, coordinate subcontractors, review drawings, manage materials and monitor progress with daily reports. A Pr.Eng or Pr.TechEng registration is highly desirable, with at least five years' experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of site engineering experience on civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in managing large construction sites and leading teams.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulatory requirements.
• Strong project management knowledge.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Johannesburg region.
• Pr.Eng or Pr.Tech.Eng registration with ECSA is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications, providing technical guidance and solutions to site challenges.
• Manage material procurement, equipment deployment, and resource allocation to optimize project timelines and costs.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress logs, and quality control documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
