Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead design and delivery of major civil infrastructure projects in Rustenburg, North West. You will oversee feasibility studies, set technical standards, and coordinate with architects and contractors to ensure projects are safe, on time, and within budget.

The role requires Pr.Eng registration, 8+ years’ construction project management experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Pr. Eng registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• 8+ years of progressive civil engineering in construction project management.
• Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, planning, and execution of civil projects (roads, bridges, water systems).
• Conduct site investigations, surveys and feasibility studies.
• Prepare technical specs, drawings and project documentation.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Oversee and mentor junior staff and construction crews.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and stakeholders for project success.
• Perform quality control checks and site inspections.
