Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Restaurant Manager for their flagship establishment in Midrand, Gauteng. This high-end venue requires a dynamic leader to oversee day-to-day operations, maintain service standards, and drive guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in upscale restaurant management, strong P&L skills, inventory control, and the ability to lead a diverse F&B team. A hospitality degree is advantageous, and South Africa work eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in restaurant management.
• Experience in high-end or fine-dining environments.
• Strong leadership and ability to inspire a team.
• Budgeting, P&L management, and cost control.
• Inventory management and supplier relations.
• Proficient with POS systems and restaurant management software.
• Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management is advantageous.
• Legally eligible to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring seamless service delivery.
• Mentor a diverse F&B team with training, scheduling and performance management.
• Develop strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Control inventory, manage supplier relationships, and ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Maintain top food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Achieve and exceed revenue targets through sales and marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu offerings and promotions.
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing and health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to strategic planning and business development of the restaurant.
