Job summary

Babylonstoren is seeking a Senior Restaurant Manager to lead the Babel and Ou Bakkery operations with a focus on service excellence and staff development. The role requires strong leadership, cost control, and guest-centric hospitality.

You will drive service standards, plan and execute daily operations, and participate in the senior leadership team for events and functions. Weekend/evening work is expected in a premium guest environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ management experience within premium restaurants, hotels, lodges, or wine estates.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
• Strong experience in restaurant operations and staff management.
• Good understanding of labour control, stock control, and cost management.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
• Willing and able to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
