About the Role

Our client, a prominent recruitment consultancy situated in the vibrant academic and technological hub of Stellenbosch, Western Cape , is looking for a Senior Recruitment Consultant with a specialized focus on the Technology sector. This senior position involves leading the recruitment process for highly skilled IT professionals, including software developers, data scientists, cybersecurity experts, and IT managers, for a diverse clientele ranging from innovative startups to established enterprises. You will leverage your deep understanding of the tech landscape, extensive network, and recruitment expertise to secure top talent and build lasting client relationships. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our client's technology recruitment division within the dynamic Stellenbosch market and across the Western Cape .

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for a variety of senior and niche technology roles, including software engineering, data science, AI/ML, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and IT management within the Stellenbosch area.
• Develop and execute sophisticated sourcing strategies to attract top-tier passive and active candidates in the competitive technology market.
• Conduct in-depth technical screenings and competency-based interviews to assess candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
• Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with key clients, understanding their technical needs, company culture, and strategic objectives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing market insights, salary guidance, and recruitment strategy recommendations.
• Negotiate offers and manage the full hiring process through to successful onboarding.
• Maintain a high level of market intelligence regarding technology trends, emerging skills, and compensation benchmarks in the Western Cape .
• Utilize advanced recruitment tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, specialized tech job boards, and internal databases.
• Mentor and guide junior recruitment consultants within the technology team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in technology recruitment, ideally within a fast-paced agency or consultancy environment.
• Proven track record of successfully placing senior and specialized technical roles.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, various programming languages, cloud technologies, and data science concepts.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment technology platforms effectively.
• A proactive, results-driven, and highly organized approach to work.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the technology ecosystem in Stellenbosch and the wider Western Cape is a significant asset.
