You will identify land, manage feasibility, secure funding and approvals, supervise design and construction, and ensure profitable delivery while leading cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 10–12 years of experience, a Master's degree in a related field, and a proven track record in Western Cape developments.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or equivalent professional qualification in Property Development, Urban Planning, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10-12 years of comprehensive experience in property development, managing a variety of project types and scales.
• Proven success in delivering profitable developments in the Western Cape property market.
• Strong understanding of land use regulations, planning processes, and building codes in the region.
• Exceptional financial acumen, including expertise in project financing, budgeting, and investment analysis.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and relevant design/analysis tools.
• A strategic mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Willingness to travel within the Western Cape as required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and acquire suitable land for development projects in Stellenbosch and surrounding areas.
• Conduct thorough feasibility studies, market analyses, and financial projections for potential development opportunities.
• Manage all aspects of the development process, from initial concept and design to construction and final sales or leasing.
• Secure all necessary planning permissions, zoning approvals, and regulatory consents from relevant authorities.
• Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and timely completion.
• Manage relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, legal advisors, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure construction quality, adherence to specifications, and effective cost control throughout the building phase.
• Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies for completed projects.
• Stay current with market trends, construction technologies, and regulatory changes impacting property development.
