Placements24 is seeking an experienced Architectural Project Manager to oversee high‑quality residential developments in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. You will manage the full lifecycle from feasibility and design through construction, ensuring budgets, schedules, and sustainability targets are met.

The ideal candidate has a PrArch or Construction Management degree with at least 8 years in residential project management, and a proven track record of delivering projects from concept to completion

Qualifications

• Professional Architect (PrArch) or relevant degree in Construction Management.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural project management, with a strong focus on residential developments.
• Proven experience in managing projects from concept to completion.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with sustainable building practices and green building certifications.
• Proficiency in project management software and architectural design tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong understanding of building regulations, planning processes, and construction methods.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
• Experience in the Western Cape region, specifically around Stellenbosch, is highly preferred.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of residential development projects, from feasibility and design to construction and handover.
• Coordinate architectural design development with internal teams and external consultants.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with planning regulations, building codes, and sustainability standards.
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring quality control and adherence to design intent.
• Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Champion sustainable building practices and ensure their integration into all projects.
• Prepare progress reports for senior management and clients.
