Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Civil Project Manager with a specialization in port and coastal engineering for their Richards Bay operations, KwaZulu-Natal. This senior role leads complex marine and coastal infrastructure projects from concept through construction and commissioning, ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Coastal Engineering.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA.
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale port/coastal projects.
• Experience in breakwater design, quay walls, dredging, and maritime structures.
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of major port and coastal engineering projects.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules and resources for multimillion-rand projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, designers and site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations and environmental policies for marine environments.
• Manage contractual agreements, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement with clients and regulators.
• Implement robust QA/QC processes throughout the project lifecycle.
