Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Civil Project Manager to lead major infrastructure projects in the Port Elizabeth area. The role is site-based and requires hands-on leadership to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to high safety standards.

You will manage all phases from planning to completion, coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors, supervise site teams, and drive risk management and quality control across the Eastern Cape region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 10 years in civil project management, with ≥5 years in senior role.
• Proven track record delivering large infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
• Registration as a professional engineer or professional construction manager is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee execution of civil projects including roads, water, and buildings.
• Develop detailed schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet milestones.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance on all sites.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulators to progress projects.
• Manage risk and resolve site issues with corrective actions.
