Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Site Engineer to oversee coastal development projects in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead on-site construction activities, manage resources, and ensure adherence to plans, schedule, and HSE standards.

The role requires a Civil Engineering qualification and at least seven years of site supervision experience, with coastal or marine project exposure highly regarded.

Qualifications

National Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
7+ years of site supervision and management of civil projects.
Coastal/marine environment experience is a plus.
Professional registration with SACPCMP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities per plans and specs.
Develop and implement detailed construction schedules and resource plans.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations on site.
Conduct regular site inspections, quality control, and material testing.
Coordinate with design team, project managers and subcontractors to resolve issues.
Maintain site documentation including daily reports and variations.
