Placements24 invites a skilled Structural Engineer to lead coastal and marine infrastructure projects in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will ensure structural integrity, innovate against environmental challenges, and collaborate with architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction teams.

The role demands a BEng/BSc in Structural Engineering, Pr Eng registration, and at least 7 years of relevant experience with proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Structural Engineering with Pr Eng registration.
• Minimum 7 years of structural engineering experience, coastal/marine preferred.
• Proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS or STAAD.Pro.
• Knowledge of concrete, steel, timber behavior under loads and environment.
• Experience with foundation design and seismic considerations.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural components for buildings, bridges, and marine structures.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, standards, and coastal environmental regulations.
• Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address issues.
• Collaborate with architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction teams.
• Perform structural assessments and recommend remedial actions.
