Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a vigilant and analytical Network Security Analyst to guard a telecommunications network in Queenstown. You will monitor traffic, detect threats, and respond to incidents to protect data and infrastructure.

The role requires a Bachelor in CS/Cybersecurity and at least 3 years in network security, with SIEM and firewall experience. You will work with advanced tools and participate in ongoing security improvements and staff training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in network security analysis or similar.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, protocols and technologies.
• Experience with SIEM and firewall technologies; relevance of certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network systems and security alerts for intrusions and policy violations.
• Investigate incidents, perform forensic analysis, and craft response plans.
• Configure and maintain security devices like firewalls and VPNs.
• Run vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to remediate weaknesses.
• Develop security policies and best practices across the network.
• Provide security awareness training and collaborate with IT teams.
