The role emphasizes proactive defense, incident response, and staying ahead of evolving threats. You will develop detection rules and coordinate containment and recovery efforts within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity/CS or related field.
• 2+ years in cybersecurity focusing on threat detection and incident response.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools such as Splunk or LogRhythm.
• Understanding of network protocols, Windows/Linux OS, and common attack methods.
• Familiarity with penetration testing concepts and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls to detect threats.
• Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and assess breach impact.
• Develop and refine threat detection rules and signatures to improve monitoring.
• Coordinate containment, eradication, and recovery during incidents.
• Stay current with cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and provide security enhancement recommendations.
