Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Telecom Network Security Analyst to join the security team in a hands-on, on-site role in Queenstown. You will monitor traffic, investigate incidents, and implement robust security measures to protect critical telecom infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 4+ years of experience, and familiarity with SIEM tools, firewalls, VPNs, and IDPS. Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of network security analysis experience, preferably in telecommunications.
• CISSP, Security+, or CEH certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network traffic for security breaches, intrusions, and policy violations.
• Analyze security alerts, conduct investigations, and recommend remediation actions.
• Manage security controls including firewalls, IDPS, and VPNs.
• Develop and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Stay current with cybersecurity threats and telecom-specific trends.
