Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Senior Industrial Engineer for a remote-first role within South Africa. The position supports production and operational improvements from a remote setting, with eventual alignment to client sites as needed.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial engineering, strong Lean and Six Sigma knowledge, and experience with process simulation tools like Arena or Simio. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive industrial engineering experience.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred).
• Proficient with process simulation tools and statistics packages.
• Strong communication, collaboration and remote-work skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production and operations.
• Design and implement lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement solutions.
• Model and validate changes using process simulation and statistics tools.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements on client sites.
• Manage projects from conception to completion within time and budget.
• Analyze data to forecast trends and adjust performance metrics.
• Facilitate remote workshops and keep up with Industry 4.0 trends.
