Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer for a fully remote role across South Africa. You will lead process optimization, apply lean/Six Sigma methodologies, and drive significant efficiency gains while collaborating with site leadership and cross-functional teams from anywhere in South Africa.

The role requires 7+ years in industrial engineering, strong data analysis, and experience with simulation tools like Arena/FlexSim.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 7+ years in industrial engineering, process improvement, or operations management.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement techniques.
• Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
• Experience with simulation software Arena/FlexSim and CAD tools.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills; strong remote communication.
• Experience in diverse manufacturing environments; self-motivated for remote work.
• Knowledge of supply chain and logistics.

Responsabilités

• Analyze existing manufacturing and operational processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency enhancement.
• Utilize lean manufacturing tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen) to drive continuous improvement.
• Design and redesign workflows, layouts, and production systems to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
• Conduct time and motion studies, capacity planning, and resource allocation analysis.
• Develop and implement KPIs to track operational performance.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and engineering teams to implement changes.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on process improvements and findings.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and operational staff on best practices.
• Manage projects related to process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
