Job summary

Craven Cottage CC is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to plan and manage recruitment, payroll, and employee relations in a CAPE TOWN-based role. You will support management in grievances, disciplinary matters and investigations, chair hearings, and ensure policy compliance across the workforce.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR Management and 5–8 years of HR generalist experience (3 at managerial level), preferably in service or retail.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management is required.
• A minimum of 5–8 years HR generalist experience (3 at managerial level) in a service-related or retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and monitor recruitment requirements.
• Manage staff overpayments.
• Provide HR support and advice on grievances and disciplinary matters.
• Chair disciplinary hearings and assist management in IR matters.
• Promote corporate values and ensure compliance with HR regulations and company policies.
• Oversee payroll processes, leave management and HR documentation.
• Mentor and coach HR staff to ensure consistent policy application.
• Manage performance planning, reviews and improvement plans for under-performers.
