Job summary

Sable International is seeking a confident Senior HR Generalist to support the full employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding at our Cape Town office. You will partner with leadership to deliver practical HR guidance, manage employee relations, and ensure consistent, compliant processes across the business.

The role requires at least five years of HR generalist experience and a degree or relevant HR qualification, with strong communication skills and experience with HRIS/onboarding

Qualifications

• Have an HR-related degree or relevant HR qualification.
• At least five (5) years of HR generalist experience.
• Strong communication skills and sound judgement.
• Confidentiality, fairness and consistency when handling employee matters.
• Experience with HRIS platforms, onboarding workflows or employee data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the full recruitment and onboarding process from job advertising to induction and new-starter administration.
• Provide day-to-day HR guidance to managers and employees on policies and people-related matters.
• Assist with performance management, probation reviews, disciplinary, grievance and capability processes.
• Coordinate learning and development initiatives and training administration.
• Maintain accurate HR records and confidentiality of data.
• Produce HR reports and support payroll-related administration and lifecycle changes.
• Support HR compliance, Employment Equity and statutory reporting.
• Contribute to HR projects and employee experience initiatives.
