Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to lead HR strategies for a fully remote team based out of Midrand, Gauteng, SA. You will drive recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management in a dynamic, remote-first environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field with 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, strong SA labor law knowledge, and proficiency in HRIS and office software. CIPD certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business admin, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor law.
• Proficiency in HRIS and standard office software.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• CIPD or similar HR certification is desirable.
• Experience in managing change and implementing HR initiatives remotely.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and candidate selection.
• Develop onboarding programs to integrate new hires into the company culture.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring market competitiveness.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures and best practices.
• Manage employee relations, investigations, and resolutions.
• Support performance management processes and development planning.
• Maintain accurate employee records using the HRIS system.
• Contribute to HR policies and procedures development.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
• Organize virtual team-building and engagement initiatives.
