Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join their fully remote team in South Africa. You will provide comprehensive HR support across locations, focusing on strategic initiatives and operational excellence, with emphasis on employee relations and policy development.

The role requires 5–7 years of HR Generalist experience, strong knowledge of SA labor law, and proficiency with HRIS and collaboration tools in a distributed, remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in HR, business admin, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive HR Generalist experience focusing on employee relations and talent management.
• Solid knowledge of South African labor law and HR best practices.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment with virtual collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex employee relations issues, providing guidance and resolution remotely.
• Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
• Lead talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires across regions.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and fairness.
• Design and deliver training programs and employee development initiatives virtually.
• Analyze HR data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
