Placements24 is seeking a Lead HR Generalist to drive HR operations for a fully remote workforce. You will lead onboarding, performance reviews, compensation processes, and benefits administration while ensuring compliance with South African labor laws.

This role requires 5–7 years of HR Generalist experience and strong HRIS proficiency, with a focus on remote talent and engagement. You will coach managers, manage employee relations, and develop remote-friendly HR policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of comprehensive experience as an HR Generalist.
• Experience in supporting remote or hybrid workforce is essential.
• Strong understanding of South African labor law and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day HR operations for a distributed workforce across HR functions.
• Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and policy interpretation.
• Lead onboarding, performance management, compensation reviews, and benefits administration.
• Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures suited for remote work.
• Support talent acquisition efforts, including recruitment and interviewing for remote talent.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives with leadership to foster a positive remote culture.
• Provide coaching to managers on HR matters and performance development.
• Maintain accurate HR records and generate HR reports as needed.
• Stay updated on HR trends and remote work best practices and implement improvements.
