Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior HR Generalist to join a remote-first team in South Africa. You will drive talent management, employee engagement, HR policy development, and ensure labor-law compliance across the full employee lifecycle.

The role emphasizes autonomous work with strong collaboration with virtual teams, leveraging HRIS and modern HR tech, and shaping a progressive, people-centric organization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in a comprehensive HR Generalist role.
• Demonstrated expertise in South African labor law and HR best practices.
• Experience managing the full employee lifecycle within a corporate setting.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compensation & benefits.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures ensuring compliance with SA labor legislation.
• Partner with leadership to drive talent management, succession planning, and employee development programs.
• Foster a positive remote work culture through innovative HR strategies.
• Provide expert advice and support to employees and managers on complex HR issues.
• Conduct HR data analysis to identify trends and support decision-making.
