Based in Cape Town, you will be responsible for investigating insurance claims, determining liability, negotiating settlements, and ensuring policyholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a commercial claims adjuster.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial policies, legal principles, and investigation techniques.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in claims management software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, assess, and evaluate commercial insurance claims, determining coverage and liability based on policy terms.
• Conduct interviews with claimants, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather information.
• Review police reports, medical records, and documentation to support investigations.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and legal representatives for fair resolutions.
• Manage a caseload of claims with accurate records in the management system.
