Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Claims Adjuster (Property & Casualty) to join our Durban-based team. The role involves investigating claims, determining liability, and negotiating fair settlements for policyholders while managing a busy caseload from inception to closure.

You will work within a supportive team, upholding service standards and regulatory obligations. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in Property & Casualty claims, strong analytical and negotiation

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Claims Adjuster in Property & Casualty insurance
• Solid understanding of insurance policies, legal principles, and claims investigation techniques
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in claims management software and standard office applications
• Relevant industry certifications are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Investigate insurance claims thoroughly, gathering all relevant documentation and evidence
• Conduct interviews with claimants, witnesses, and other involved parties
• Assess damages, determine policy coverage, and establish liability for claims
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and their representatives in a fair and timely manner
• Prepare detailed reports on claim investigations, findings, and recommendations
• Manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and regulatory requirements
