Placements24 is seeking a proactive and experienced Remote Claims Adjuster to join our distributed team, supporting operations across Welkom and other regions in South Africa. This fully remote role involves investigating, evaluating, and negotiating settlements for insurance claims from your home office.

You will need strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to assess damages, determine liability, and ensure fair, timely resolutions for policyholders while managing a caseload in

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Claims Adjuster or similar role within the insurance industry.
• Solid understanding of insurance policies, claims investigation procedures, and settlement practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into insurance claims, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing policy documents.
• Assess the extent of damages or losses sustained by policyholders and determine the appropriate course of action for settlement.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants, ensuring fairness and compliance with policy terms and company guidelines.
• Document all claim activities, findings, and settlement details meticulously in the claims management system.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with claimants, legal representatives, and internal teams throughout the claims process.
• Manage a caseload of claims effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and service level agreements.
