Job summary

Placements24 in Midrand is seeking a Catering Sales Executive to grow our client base and close catering contracts for corporate events, weddings, and private functions. You will identify opportunities, present our services, and negotiate terms with clients.

The ideal candidate has at least four years of sales experience in catering or hospitality, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of successful sales experience in catering, hospitality, or events.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business leads through networking, cold calling, and market research.
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and private individuals.
• Present catering services and proposals, tailoring them to client needs.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing, ensuring profitability while securing competitive agreements.
• Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Coordinate with catering operations and culinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities in Midrand and beyond.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, from inquiry to contract signing.
• Participate in trade shows, networking events, and other promotional activities.
