Placements24 invites an experienced Senior Buyer - Indirect Procurement to shape the sourcing strategy for non-production goods and services in Paarl. You will lead complex negotiations, optimize supplier performance, and drive cost savings across IT, marketing, facilities, and professional services.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business, ensuring compliance with procurement policies while leveraging hybrid work flexibility and maintaining in-office presence in Paarl.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, business, commerce, or related field.
• 5–7 years in procurement with emphasis on indirect spend.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, negotiation and contract management.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and cost drivers in indirect services/goods.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories to achieve cost savings and enhance supplier performance.

Requirements

• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and contract management for a variety of indirect categories.
• Excellent understanding of market dynamics and cost drivers for indirect services and goods.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze spend data and identify savings opportunities.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
• Experience in the agricultural or cooperative sector is advantageous.
• Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa and comfortable with a hybrid work model in Paarl, Western Cape.
