Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is offering a Trainee Manager position at the Secunda store. You will learn overall store operations under the guidance of a store manager, handling a broad range of retail duties and customer service tasks.

The role supports the manager in inventory, sales, and admin responsibilities in a fast-paced FMCG environment. The successful candidate will have Grade 12, 1–2 years in store retail management, MS Office literacy, a valid driver's license and own transport.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in store retail management disciplines, including stock, cash, reporting and customer service.
• Grade 12/Matric is required; MS Office proficiency is expected.
• Willingness to work retail hours and own reliable transport is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage stock flow, cycle counts and stock levels to keep system in sync.
• Support receiving, labeling, pricing and displays on the sales floor.
• Assist in achieving store sales targets and promotions with other departments.
• Support cash handling, daily cash-ups and POS operations.
• Provide good customer service and handle complaints promptly.
• Assist HR processes and KRONOS-based workforce activities when needed.
• Engage in on-the-job learning; complete required training and sign-offs.
