Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity for a Trainee Manager in the Kempton Park Region. Learn overall store operations under direction and supervision of a store manager, performing a wide range of retail duties with guidance from experienced staff.

The role requires Grade 12, 1–2 years in store retail management, MS Office proficiency, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transport; advantage for a Diploma in Financial/Admin or related field.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric required.
• 1–2 years’ experience in store retail management including stock management, cash, reporting, expense control and customer service.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
• Diploma in Financial / Admin or relevant 3-year Diploma advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Inventory management: process goods in transit, cycle counts, stock takes, shrinkage control, and stock levels.
• Sales floor & receiving: assist with stock displays, labeling, pricing, goods receiving, and transaction integrity.
• Sales targets: assist in achieving store sales targets and support promotions and knowledge sharing between stores.
• Point of Sale Operations and Finance: assist with daily cash-ups, POS scheduling, expense monitoring, and accounting entries.
• Customer service: address customer complaints promptly and encourage loyalty signups.
• HR process support: assist with HR processes, leave management, KRONOS data, and training.
• Trainee Programme Adherence: participate in meetings/workshops and complete required learning programs.
• Competencies: retail management knowledge, analytical, communication, emotional intelligence, organization.
