Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity for a Trainee Manager at the Middelburg store. You will learn store operations under direction from a store manager, performing a wide range of retail duties with guidance and support.

The role emphasizes inventory management, promotional planning, customer service excellence and adherence to standard operating procedures within FMCG, Health and Beauty sectors.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric and 1–2 years’ experience in store retail management required.
• Computer literate with MS Office; willing to work retail hours; valid driver’s license.
• Diploma in Financial/Admin or related 3-year Diploma is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory: stock levels, cycle counts, shrinkage control and stock flow to the floor.
• Assist with promotions, displays, labeling, pricing and stock receiving.
• Support sales targets, budgets, and profitability with store-wide collaboration.
• Handle POS, cash-ups and financial reconciliations; monitor expenses.
