Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Trainee Manager for Crescent Corner store. You will learn overall store operations under direction and supervision of a store manager, performing a wide range of retail operational duties with guidance from an experienced manager.

The role emphasises inventory management, sales floor and receiving duties, POS operations, customer service, HR process support, and adherence to training programs.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric is required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in store retail management disciplines including stock management, cash, reporting, expense control and customer service.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory processes including goods in transit, stock counts, shrinkage, and stock levels.
• Support stock flow to the sales floor and assist in stock ordering when required.
• Assist with promotions, labeling, pricing, and stock receiving to maintain standards.
• Contribute to achieving store sales targets and support cross‑department collaboration.
• Assist with cash-ups, POS area scheduling, and expense monitoring within budget.
• Provide customer service and address complaints, while promoting loyalty signups.
