Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies invites applications for a Trainee Manager at our Middelburg store. You will learn overall store operations under the direction and supervision of a store manager, performing a wide range of retail duties with guidance from an experienced supervisor.

The role focuses on inventory, sales floors, customer service, POS operations, and HR processes to develop future store leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

Grade 12/Matric is required.
1–2 years’ experience in store retail management disciplines including stock management, cash, reporting, expense control and customer service.
Computer literate – MS Office.
Willing and able to work retail hours.
Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

Inventory management: process goods in transit, cycle counts, stock level accuracy and shrinkage control.
Sales floor & receiving: assist with stock displays, labeling, pricing, and goods receiving.
Sales targets: support to achieve store sales targets and promotions.
Point of sale operations & finance: assist in cash-ups, POS scheduling, expense monitoring, and transaction integrity.
Customer service: address complaints promptly and assist loyalty sign-ups.
HR process support: assist with leave management, staffing files, and Kronos workforce data.
Trainee programme adherence: participate in learning, complete tasks, and maintain Portfolio of Evidence.
