Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies has a Trainee Manager opportunity in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will learn store operations under a store manager and perform a wide range of retail duties with guidance.

The role requires 1–2 years of retail management experience, Grade 12, MS Office skills, a valid driver’s license and own transport. Diploma in relevant field is advantageous; SA citizen with willingness to work retail hours.

Qualifications

• Essential: Retail store management disciplines incl. stock management, cash, reporting, expense control & customer service.
• Computer literate – MS Office.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Inventory management: process goods in transit, cycle counts and stock-to-system matches; address shrinkage.
• Ensure efficient stock flow to the sales floor and assist in stock ordering for FMCG, Health & Beauty.
• Sales floor & receiving: support promotional stock displays, labeling, pricing and layout standards; handle goods receiving per SOPs.
• Sales targets: assist in achieving store targets; partner with departments; support promotions and cross-store knowledge sharing.
• Point of Sale & Finance: assist with cash-ups, POS scheduling, expense monitoring, and transaction accuracy.

Education

Grade 12 / Matric

Diploma in Financial / Admin or 3-year Diploma
