About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Retail Operations Coordinator to support their store network in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. This hybrid role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of retail stores. You will be responsible for coordinating essential operational tasks, supporting store management, and implementing company policies and procedures across the region. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a practical understanding of retail operations. This role requires a hands-on approach, working closely with store teams while also managing administrative and coordination tasks, potentially from a home office. Your contribution will be key to maintaining high operational standards and supporting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and enforcement of company operational policies and procedures across all stores in Pietermaritzburg.
• Coordinate with various departments (e.g., HR, IT, Logistics) to ensure seamless store operations.
• Support store managers with operational challenges, providing timely solutions and guidance.
• Oversee the ordering and management of store supplies, uniforms, and operational equipment.
• Assist in the planning and execution of store audits and compliance checks.
• Manage and maintain store-related documentation and records.
• Help in coordinating staff training and onboarding processes related to operations.
• Monitor store performance metrics and report on operational efficiency.
• Act as a liaison between field operations and head office, ensuring effective communication.
• Support special projects and initiatives related to retail operations in KwaZulu-Natal.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail operations support role, administration, or coordination capacity.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
